WHO FILLED OUT THE WORKBOOK?

People who live, work and play in the NSR watershed and who have a shared interest in how the watershed will be managed for water quality and water quantity.

Example: Urban and Rural Municipalities; Industry (Oil, Gas, Chemical, Agriculture, Forestry, Mining); NGOs; Recreation Groups; Tourism Groups; Individuals.

After an analysis of WORKBOOK responses, the NSWA will prepare a draft IWMP that will identify priorities and include a timetable for implementation.

Then the NSWA will review the draft IWMP with stakeholders and prepare a final IWMP for approval by the NSWA Board of Directors. A work plan with short, medium and long-term targets will form part of the final IWMP.

When approved by the NSWA Board of Directors, the Integrated Watershed Management Plan (IWMP) will be submitted to the Government of Alberta and watershed stakeholders for endorsement and implementation.
